 Five things I've been implementing and exploring this week. 

Movie I enjoyed: Emilia Perez

Emilia Perez is a movie based on an opera that’s based on a book. Audiard's opera libretto of the same name was loosely adapted from a chapter of the 2018 novel Écoute by French writer Boris Razon. Being marketed as a musical about a trans-female was not super interesting to me. I will tell you it is fantastic. Zoe Saldana is spectacular. This psychological thriller’s complexities kept me on the edge of my seat. The trans surgery is a vehicle, but not the story. It expertly demonstrates how important it is to heal from your past, forgive yourself, and support others. You cannot outrun the shadows of who are are unless you heal. I was not prepared for the intensity of the message nor the powerful suspense.

Success Story: 13-year old not wanting acupuncture
