Bubbles Up Close

My Friday Five. Five things I've been implementing and exploring this week.

Book I'm Reading: The Last Thing He Told Me: A Novel

Can you believe I took a break from nonfiction, educational books? Me either! The Last Thing He Told Me is now an episodic on Apple +, but first it was a novel. My Dad told me about it because it takes place in Austin and he thought I'd enjoy it. He was correct! I lived in Austin for about five years while I was attending AOMA Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin. It's a simple summer read and a nice trip down memory lane.

Success Story:

I have been seeing a young adult while she is on her Mormon mission. Her service is coming to an end and she gave me a copy of The Book of Mormon with a wonderful inscription. The many teens I see in my office give me comfort and hope for our future. There are too many tragedies as we scan the news, but know that there are many beautiful and brilliant youths that will see us through.

“Gail - I am truly so grateful that I have been able to meet you. What a miracle it was that you practice close enough to where I have severed my ENTIRE mission so far!! I am truly so grateful for the privilege of knowing you!! You are the coolest person ever and you have become one of my dearest friends. I love that you are always seeking to know more in life. I love how much you seek after truth, and wisdom, and everything that is good. I can feel how deep your gratitude to Him is, in everything you say and do. You have become a beacon of light, cheerfulness, and hope to me, and I have truly felt edified and uplifted each and every time we’ve been able to talk. I am forever grateful for the physical and spiritual healing that has taken place in your office for me.”

Quote I'm meditating on:

“Failure is the only way to guarantee long-term success.” - Dr. Mindy Pelz

Product I'm using: Balega Running Socks

I've always worn the six pack of socks I get at Costco without a thought. I've always brought my running shoes at DSW. They seem comfortable, they are inexpensive and they work fine. Getting more serious about gear since I've started training for a half marathon I invested in good shoes and good socks. I'm probably late to the party, but they really make a different! I am wearing Balega's for work as well and my feet don't ache after a ten hour day. Next I'll pull the trigger on better work shoes! Do you have a favorite?

Music I'm listening to that makes me happy:

Better Be Good to Me - Tina Turner

Love her!

The above photo is another I took at my macro workshop. It's a soap bubble.

ps I do not have any affiliation with the products mentioned. I like them and want you to know about them.
