Helping Alzheimer's disease with light

My Friday Five

Five things I've been implementing and exploring this week.

Health idea I'm learning about: 40Hz light flickering

Gamma waves are diminished in people diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. The flickering light was shown breakdown amyloid plaque in the neocortex and hippocampus. That means increased memory and cognitive function was noticed. There still needs to be more research, but the cost of a light is inexpensive. I don't know anyone diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. I love gadgets and would probably spend the $100 for someone I loved with this terrible diagnosis.

Product I'm discovering: Aunt Fannie's Cleaning Vinegars

I love comparing and trying new things. Aunt Fannie's line of vinegar cleaners is fantastic. I've tried making my own concoctions and they usually leave a film or the smell is too strong. These clean everything. I’m now living with a 189lb Great Dane, incase you forgot or somehow didn't hear that crazy news. You read that correctly. I'm using the cleaning vinegar, wipes and the window cleaner every day. I love them all!

Quote I'm meditating: What's the point of knowing something if you're not going to share it? - Fred Hamilton (said during Easter brunch)

Book I'm reading: Power Moves by Adam Grant

I wanted to dive into Power Moves because I love listening to really smart people. It took me a while to get into the swing of things and settle into listening to the interviews. Davos World Economic Forum sounds incredible and I would not hesitate to attend if given the opportunity. I am sure I don't have to worry about being the smartest gal in the room.

Music I'm listening to: count on by shallou featuring colin

I like the chill down tempo beat of all of shallou's music. count on is just one example of her smooth groove.

Please forward and share my blog. I like sharing. Thank you.
