My Friday Five. Five things I've been implementing and exploring this week.
Health idea I've implemented: Almond Flour
Almond flour is just almonds ground up into a powder. I've been experimenting with biscotti recipes using it and they actually turn out pretty good. I also am using coconut sugar, but looking for another alternative. I like maple syrup, but it can be too sweet for some recipes. Please email your favorite grain-free, vegan recipes. It doesn't matter what type. I'm hungry and I'm ready to eat!
Product I'm discovering: LegacyBox.com
I have some old Tai Chi and Shao Lin Kung Fu video I recorded when I was studying for my black belt test. I used it to help perfect my forms and prepare. It's on Super 8 and I am sending it to Legacy Box to put it on a flash drive. I miss Tai Chi and I was lucky enough to perform the same form during my years at The Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin. I'm looking forward to receiving the flash drive to correct all the things I'm currently doing wrong. I also had really long hair back then so that will be interesting to see!
Quote I'm meditating: When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around. – Willie Nelson
Documentary I'm watching: Inside Bill's Brain
The first two in this documentary series are fantastic. The first two episodes are about his drive to eradicate polio and create a self-sustaining water purification system. He knows he didn't get where he was without hard work and he never forgets the strength and encouragement of the people around him.
Music I'm listening to: Little Drummer Boy
Not once in all my years have I been able to listen to Little Drummer Boy without tears.
