My Friday Five. Five things I've been implementing and exploring this week.
Health idea I've implemented: Body Sore by Dr. Xie's Jing Tang Herbal
My dog, Augie, got spooked walking down the stairs and ended up tumbling to the bottom. She was in obvious pain and I needed more than acupuncture to heal her. I took her to see Dr. Smallwood, who is a wonderful holistic vet in Richardson. She gave Augie acupuncture, cold laser and Body Sore Herbal Formula. It is a prescription only formula based on Chinese Classic Herbal Medicine and the results were just short of a miracle. I've seen this formula take away the pain of a 186 pound Great Dane as well.
Product I'm discovering: Assisi Loop
The Assisi Loop is another product Dr Smallwood suggested for Augie. It's a pulse EMF that helps to relieve aches and pains. Since her fall she has had some neck knots and pain which feel similar to the knots we get in our neck. She would tremble when I ran my fingers over the area. The Assisi Loop run on auto for 15 minutes and her knots magically disappear. I use this every day and take the 15 minutes to meditate while she heals.
Quote I'm meditating:
I want to think again of dangerous and noble things. I want to be light and frolicsome. I want to be improbable beautiful and afraid of nothing, as though I had wings. - Mary Oliver
Book I'm reading: Becoming by Michelle Obama
I have read several First Lady's autobiographies and I am always touched by how much the women love and support their husband and how they know their husband is the best man to be president. Their autobiographies invariably help me know and truly like the man that was president, whether I agree with their decisions and politics or not. Her story is captivating and inspiring.
Music I'm listening to: Thunder by Imagine Dragons
I don't know what this song is about and I'm not sure of all the words, but I get pumped listening every time.
